Returns and Refund Policy

Reader’s Shack sells digital ebooks. Because digital goods are delivered instantly and cannot be “returned” in the traditional sense, our refund policy is designed to be fair to both customers and authors.
1. General Policy
All sales of digital products are generally final. Once an ebook has been delivered or a download link has been issued, we are unable to offer a refund.
We encourage you to read product descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you have a question about a specific book, contact us before buying and we’ll help.
2. When We Will Refund or Replace
We will offer a replacement or full refund in the following circumstances:
- 📄 Corrupted file — the file you downloaded is damaged or cannot be opened
- 📖 Wrong book delivered — you received a different title than the one you purchased
- ⚠️ Technical failure — a confirmed technical issue on our side prevented successful delivery
3. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for a refund or replacement, please:
- Email us at support@hayshack.co.za within 7 days of purchase
- Include your order number or the email address used to purchase
- Describe the issue (corrupted file, wrong book, etc.)
We will respond within 24 hours on business days and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
4. Timeframe
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the original purchase date. Requests submitted after this window cannot be considered.
5. Refund Method
Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider (typically 3–5 business days).
